For more than four decades, the Graffiti Hall of Fame has been a meeting place for generations of writers, artists and cultural innovators. What began in East Harlem became part of a global visual language.
1980
THE BEGINNING
The Graffiti Hall of Fame takes root in East Harlem and becomes a meeting place for writers, artists and the emerging culture.
1990s
STRICTLY KINGS AND BETTER
The Hall becomes synonymous with elite writing, major summer gatherings and generations of New York style.
2000s
A GLOBAL DESTINATION
Artists from across the United States and around the world continue making the pilgrimage to 106th & Park.
2010s
PRESERVING THE CULTURE
GHOF continues carrying the legacy while graffiti and street art expand into galleries, museums and global popular culture.
2020s
THE NEXT GENERATION
